Blackjack
For the simple object of the game, reaching card value of 21 without busting, this game is also known as twenty-one.
This bank game (A game you play against the bank/casino) is the most common card game in the world.
The basic rules are quite simple, each player gets 2 cards facing up, and is allowed to withdraw more as long as the cards value is lower or equal to 21.
The bank also get 2 cards, 1 facing up, the other is concealed
Ace can be played soft or hard and treated as 1 or 11, and all royalty carry same value of 10.
after all table players reached their final stand, the house will expose it's concealed card, and start taking more cards until it reaches 17 or bust at 22 or up.
players who topped the bank are payed 1:1, push holds no penalty.
Exceptions are:
- Player's "Blackjack": a royalty or 10 card next to an Ace makes the win payout of 1:1.5
- Bank's "Blackjack" - all lose, but those who bought insurance priced at half the wager
- A pair of cards (identical number like 2 and 2, or pair of Jacks) allows the player to split the cards and play a 2 hands against the bank
- A player can declare a double down before he withdraws extra cards, he doubles the wager, and gets a single extra card.
Novice Blackjack players are encouraged to read about blackjack strategies to maximize their odds of winning, knowing when to hit, stand or double is a simple statistic table that can and should be learned by anyone playing Blackjack.
